Elise Hicks

Intern Therapist, Adults, Couples & Teens, BA (Hons), MACP (Cand.), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Do you find yourself putting others’ needs ahead of your own, overthinking decisions, or striving for perfection in school or work? Are stress, self-doubt, or past experiences impacting your relationships or sense of self? You’re not alone—I am here to support you!

As a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I create a safe, empathetic space so that you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Using a gentle and supportive approach, we will navigate the emotional challenges that come with anxiety, academic pressure, self-worth, and life transitions.

I support adults, adolescents and couples in areas such as emotional regulation, perfectionism, identity development, and relationship stress. Your challenges do not define you—and together, we can explore your strengths, overcome barriers, and move toward personal growth.

Passionate about helping couples reconnect, I also work with partners to strengthen emotional bonds, explore deeper feelings, and shift away from patterns that cause disconnection. My goal is to help you foster deeper understanding, empathy, and lasting intimacy in your relationship. I draw on various evidence-based modalities such as emotion-focused couples therapy.

Wherever you are in your journey, I would love to support your growth and healing. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey to becoming more you!

Meet Elise

Elise is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who holds a BA Honours in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development and Family Relations from the University of Guelph, and is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychotherapy at Yorkville University.

Elise brings experience working with children, adolescents, and parents as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, performance anxiety, codependency, neurodivergence, and academic stress. In addition to her clinical training, Elise serves as Program Director for an Executive Functions program supporting students who are balancing rigorous academic and athletic demands.
