MACP (Cand.), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)-in process

Are you experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, or challenges in relationships or family life? I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are seeking support, insight, and practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. As a Counselling Student completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, my goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change.

My approach to counselling is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from attachment theory, family systems perspectives, and trauma-informed care while integrating approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, narrative therapy, and elements of Gestalt therapy.

I support individuals experiencing concerns related to anxiety and stress, ADHD and neurodiversity, autism spectrum support, emotional regulation, self-esteem and identity development, life transitions, and relationship or family dynamics. Together, we work to better understand patterns, strengthen coping skills, and develop practical tools that support emotional well-being and resilience.

In addition to my counselling training, I have several years of experience working with children, families, and educators in community and childcare settings. I focus on supporting emotional development, parenting strategies, and overall family well-being.

As a second-generation Canadian with a Pakistani, Muslim, and South Asian background, I deeply value the creation of a culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic space. I understand how culture, family expectations, faith, and identity shape individual experiences. Therefore, I approach each client with curiosity, respect, and cultural humility. I welcome clients from diverse cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds and strive to provide an environment where identity and lived experiences are respected and understood.
