Because what it means to be human isn’t always obvious, when we are feeling overwhelmed or facing what we feel are unbearable circumstances, we begin to wonder what is wrong with us. We feel ashamed. Worst, if in our families, feelings were avoided or left to run amuck, we may have piled up feelings of helplessness, sadness and shame that leave us feeling even more stuck and alone. These ‘undigested’ feelings weigh us down and make it harder for us to live a meaningful life.
Therapy provides a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings while feeling supported, seen, heard and safe. Together we will identify patterns and cycles, shifting and transforming them.
By saying yes to therapy and committing yourself to the process, you can pivot from this place of distress to a place of greater peace, inner security and connection. In our therapy sessions, we help people understand how these patterns developed releasing them of the shame that comes with the belief that these are evidence of an inherent issue within themselves.
