Not all moments in life are created equally. Certain times in life are harder than others and can be pivotal in their impact on us. Often the distressing or traumatizing things we go through are made worse by isolation. During these times, having the right kind of support can make all the difference. The fact that you are on this website right now is a testament to your resourcefulness and bravery. You’ve taken a vital first step towards finding relief from what is troubling you, whether that is anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, interpersonal problems, identity struggles, or stress. You have reached this point to learn ways to cope and to heal, which is what I am here to help you do.

I would love to provide a safe and encouraging space for you to explore what you might otherwise want to avoid. I deeply admire those I work with for their bravery to confront what they are experiencing and their strong desire to figure out a different way of being. Having an outside perspective on what you are going through can lead to clarity and can help you shift how you see yourself.

While no one can do your inner work for you, who you choose to embark on this journey with can have a huge impact. I may not know what it’s like to walk in every pair of shoes in the world, but I care to understand your experiences walking in yours. If you are seeking non- judgmental and empathetic support on your journey, let’s connect for a meet and greet.

Meet Sara

I understand how challenging it can be to seek and to make changes in your life. I spent fifteen years in the childcare industry and over a decade as a communications professional. In all my professional interactions, listening to children, parents and co-workers and understanding how to ease sadness and anxiety has always interested me. This has led me to volunteer for over 10 years as a Big Sister Mentor, on a distress line and as a peer counsellor for a survivors of loss program, before pursuing formal psychotherapy education and training.

I know how painful it can be to survive traumatic events, figure out how to recover and eventually thrive. Sometimes these events or circumstances can affect how we feel about ourselves and other people. I believe that no matter what you are facing, having a space and an empathetic individual with whom you can connect is instrumental in your recovery.

When I am not in therapy with clients, I enjoy meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, staying active, and being in the great outdoors in any weather.
